Meet Dude!!
Dude is a Deaf Great Dane and a big goofball. He was in a trailer park situation where they were breeding two adult Great Danes and as Dude was deaf they decided they wouldn't be able to make any money from him, so they gave him up.
We are so grateful to have him in our program, he has been such a joy to be around. He plays well with other dogs and cats. He is still a puppy....a very large puppy and a bit of a bulldozer so no small children.
Dude is very loving and looking for his forever home, if you think that could be you please fill out an application on our Linktree.
Dude is a 6 month old, neutered male, and approximately 65 lbs.

When we saw Abbie on the euthanasia list with no interest, we knew we needed to intervene. It was after 5 p.m. and we were unsure they would accept our tag, but thankfully they did. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is thriving. We are giving her time to decompress from her days in the shelter. She is the most loving, wonderful dog with the sweetest silver face. We will be posting her shortly for adoption and will give an update on how she is doing!

Thank you to all of our followers and supporters throughout the years of being in animal welfare. After working with multiple networking pages and then creating our own networking page we decided we needed to do more. It became very hard to see animals left behind with no tags or adoptions. To essentially waste away in the shelter, develop behavior issues, not have proper medical care provided, or end up being euthanized. This is how Rebel for Life came to be. Our focus is the ones left behind on euthanasia lists, which is mostly large dogs, but that is ok because they are our favorite. The bigger the head the better 😊. We officially began operations in February of this year and have literally hit the ground running. We are in the process of finding a building so animals can decompress in a safe area before finding them their forever homes. Another goal of ours is community outreach to provide basic wellness, spay/neuter, education on proper animal care to underserved communities in the Houston area. We have big goals in our future and couldn't achieve them without your support. Here's to saving many more lives! 🐾

ANIMAL LOVERS- we need your help!

Rebel for Life is a newly-formed 501c3 rescue started by reputable folks we have known for years. We are so excited they are starting this organization to be able to save the lives of Harris County dogs!

Let us tell you, they have hit the ground running! Would you look at all the lives they have already saved from Harris County?! Many were saved from being needlessly euthanized just in time. You’ll recognize some of these sweet faces from our page. Gus, Phelps, Thor…

Several of these pups have severe medical conditions too. Gus, now named Sloth, has a dislocated hip from an old injury 😢 He already had one surgery, but it is likely he will need another procedure in the future. Blu Jean came into the shelter with a wound the went around her entire little body. It is believed something was tied around her and embedded into her skin. When she was found she didn't have anything there just the wound, so it is anyone’s guess what might have actually happened. Had Rebel for Life not saved her, she would have gone septic. Blue Jean has required multiple procedures to get her healthy! Thor is heartworm positive… The list of medical issues some of these pups are facing goes on and on!

All this medical care is EXPENSIVE as you can imagine! Not to mention the basic needs of these pups like food, collars, leashes, potty pads, crates, etc.

To keep saving lives, Rebel for Life needs the community’s support!

Would you consider donating any amount to help these sweet dogs? They also have an Amazon wishlist of needed items. Truly, every bit makes a difference! Please consider contributing any amount you can today 🐾
