Joe and Mitch

On my way to work today, I thought about a sweet elderly patient who rarely gets to see her children. Even though she was not on my schedule, I stopped by for a short visit and brought her flowers for Mother’s Day.

I wanted her to feel remembered, loved, and not forgotten. 💐

I know Mother’s Day can mean different things for different people—joy for some, and longing or sadness for others who miss their moms or cannot be with them. Both feelings are valid, and both deserve understanding.

To all moms, grandmothers, and mother figures—thank you for your love and sacrifices. To those missing their moms today, may you find comfort in memories and peace in your heart.
