New Muslims/Reverts/Muallaf Circle
Center of Knowledge and Support for New Muslim in America
Engage, inspire, and empower Muallaf in every locality in America by providing learning, financial, and social supports through study circle, mentorship, counseling and assistance.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
We on behalf of the management of AMB (American Muallaf Baitulmaal) would like to thank you very much for your trust and support for us to distribute zakat maal, zakat fitrah, fidyah, and sadaqah to those who are entitled to receive it, both locally and internationally.
Your zakat maal and sadaqah from last year have been well used to support our programs of providing educational assistance programs for Muallaf/New Muslims in Indonesia and in North America.
In Indonesia, we have supported 9 students who are currently studying in higher education to become da'ee (Muslim speakers) through collaboration with An-Naba Islamic Boarding School led by Ustadh Arifin Nababan who have been helping and supporting reverts in Indonesia through their school/education center, as well as with Peduli Bangsa Foundation, led by Ustadh Arifin Jayadiningrat who have been helping reverts from the natives of Mentawai island in Indonesia.
In North America, American Muallaf Baitulmaal through New Muslims Circle has carried out the first batch of New Muslim Class for the last 14 weeks, every Saturday morning, in collaboration with Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) which covers 32 mosques in Houston and its surroundings, Muslim Student Association (MSA) of University of Houston.
For the second Batch of New Muslim Class, we plan to develop partnerships with MSA from other universities and our Indonesian masjid partners in US and Canada: Masjid At-Thohir in LA, Istiqlal Masjid in Houston, Al-Hikmah Masjid in New York, IMAAM Center Masjid in Maryland, Istiqlal Masjid in Toronto, and MIIT Center also in Toronto.
This summer, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy and the US State Department, we plan to bring as many as 20 New Muslim students from US and Canada to Indonesia for 6 weeks. We also collaborate with UNIDA/Darussalam Gontor University that will host them in Indonesia, Insha Allah.
The details of the programs can be seen on our website: newmuslimscircle.org
It is our great hope that brothers and sisters are willing to continue your support to help us distribute your zakat maal and sadaqah and support our programs. We pray that our collaboration can produce many dedicated and balanced new Muslims in Indonesia and North America who can bring benefits to the ummah insha Allah. Ameen.
Insha Allah this year we target to raise $120,000. For further and detail information, please reach out to our contact below. Thank you for the trust and cooperation from everyone. May Allah SWT give all of us barakah and success in the world and the Hereafter. Ameen.
Best regards,
Dadi Syahmono
on behalf of the Management of AMB
