Following through on expressing your boundaries isn’t always easy. But it’s the difference between living with your discomfort and honoring your boundaries.

When expressing your needs, remember that people won’t even realize they are crossing a boundary most of the time! Not letting them know is, in effect, doing them a disservice.

Here’s an example of how to share a boundary with a coworker:

Instead of telling someone that they are bothering you at work, reword your message into a need, for example, “I need some extra time to myself to focus on this project.”
