Service shows up in many forms.
In our communities. In our homes. And in how we care for ourselves so we can continue to show up fully.
Today, we honor service in all its expressions. Pause, reflect, and care intentionally. Learn more at blackscriptions.com.

The holiday season has been full. Parties, lunches, school performances, and all the merriment that comes with it. I’m tired, grateful, and clearly also finding time to “travel” in between it all. 😉
All jokes aside, this is exactly why Blackscriptions exists. When life is full, having intentional moments of care makes all the difference. Put your self-care on auto by visiting blackscriptions.com or using the link in our bio. A quarterly box of happiness, delivered right to your doorstep.
Wishing you a season filled with joy, gratitude, and moments of rest in between it all.

This year, Thanksgiving looks a lot different for me. I’m tired. This entire year has been a whirlwind of ups, downs, and everything in between. A couple of weeks ago, I finally admitted to myself that I need rest. Real rest.
So today, I’m sending my family to my mother-in-law’s for dinner and fellowship without me. I’m home, watching Christmas movies and letting my body exhale. And yes, I’m still tinkering with a few things here and there because I can’t help myself and there is always so much to do—but I’m giving myself permission to rest-ish. To pause. To not always be present physically, even when my love and gratitude remain fully intact.
I’m thankful for a family and community who understand that this year, my face won’t be in the place, but my spirit, appreciation, and warmth are absolutely there.
What does your Thanksgiving look like this year?
