Many don’t know that I specialize in Financial Social Work and therapy for folks that deal with depression and financial distress. Money is still a tabo topic.

Nonetheless, I been getting more and more request for folks dealing with financial abuse and onset depression as the gender roles shift from patriarchy breadwinners to my wife makes $85k more than I but she’s not allowed to spend $150 to get her nails done. Or we’re separated but child support is contingent on her NEVER DATING AGAIN and sexual engagement with the male breadwinner… Real life issues…

I enjoy bringing awareness to the fact that money can actually cause onset mentall illness like Persistent Depression, Anxiety and Adjustment Disorders and lead to financial abuse. We often ignore symptoms as that’s just “life” or I never had money so money is scary and stressful.
