I know it can be hard to see ourselves grow old. I’m sure it’s tough to discover new wrinkles and aches and pains. (Let’s be real… I know it’ll be tough for me.)

But let these beautiful images of little miss Linda be a reminder to ourselves to love every part of us.

Whether we’re 12 or 26 or 40 or 90. Let’s make a vow to be a little more kind, shall we?!

I remember years ago, I interviewed a 90-something-year-old woman named Virginia.

And when asked what she thought of growing old, she said, “When you get old, people say, ‘Oh it’s so hard to get old. You feel so bad!’ But it isn’t.

It’s wonderful to get old! Cause you was born, and you lived a life. And just think… when you go on, that life is still going to carry on. Isn’t that wonderful?!”

Yeah, we may be shedding our youth. But we’re putting on so much more in exchange for a few wrinkles here and there.

We’re gaining experience, stories, wisdom, strength and endurance.

Some of the most powerful images I’ve EVER seen are not of someone society deems “beautiful.” They’re the images of someone with a story to tell and a life LIVED!!

So today, let’s embrace aging and even be THANKFUL for it. As bizarre as that sounds, it may be the PERFECT mindset switch you need on those days where you’re especially critical!
