On social platforms, our content has logged millions of views and more importantly thousands of positive comments that contribute to protecting our ocean ecosystems. Our goal is to inspire others to love the ocean as much as we do.

our encounter yesterday. not happy. can’t stop thinking about it.
update: apologies for not providing more details. We Did get in the water to assess the wrap up close. The diameter of the line was too thick to cut safely with the tools we had onboard. Keep in mind this animal was around 18ft long. While not the outcome we wanted we did take photos and submitted them to Hawaii Uncharted Research Collective.

A rare sighting of pygmy killer whales off the south shore of Kaua'i yesterday! Only the 3rd sighting of this species during Cascadia field projects!
