Treasured Friends

Today reminded us why rescue matters so much! ❤️

Earlier today, a tiny family of newborn kittens was found by individuals we were working with during a TNR project. Their umbilical cords had become hopelessly tangled together, leaving the babies literally tied to one another. They were dirty, in rough shape, and couldn't have untangled themselves. Every minute mattered.

Thanks to the incredible team at Coyne Veterinary Center - St. John, each kitten was safely separated, cleaned up, warmed, and given the care they desperately needed before being tucked into the warmth of an experienced foster home.

They're far from ready for adoption. Right now, their entire world revolves around bottles, warmth, full bellies, and growing stronger one day at a time.

But tonight, instead of fighting to survive, they're safe. Their foster reports that they've all had a good meal and are now napping comfortably, exactly where newborn kittens should be.

Rescue is made up of moments like these. Tiny victories that may not seem big to the world, but mean everything to the little lives depending on us.

We're so grateful to everyone who came together to give these babies a chance! These babies are still young and fragile, so they can use all the good thoughts, but now they have a chance at a happy ending!
