During Women’s History Month, we recognize those who have shaped Nevada’s legal landscape. Justice Miriam Shearing made history as the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court of Nevada, and later as the first female Chief Justice. She also held several other judicial firsts in the state, including district court judge, juvenile court referee, and justice of the peace.
This month, we honor Justice Shearing for her lasting contributions to Nevada’s courts and legal community.
