Plantify and East Bay Regional Parks invite the community to a guided shoreline walk on February 14, 2026, focused on observing migrating shorebirds, seasonal changes along the Hayward shoreline, and signs of native plants emerging from winter. Weβll also explore how park staff manage and protect this landscape to support both wildlife habitat and community access in a changing climate.
This walk is part of broader community engagement efforts connected to the First Mile Shoreline Adaptation Project, helping residents better understand planned nature-based approaches to shoreline resilience and stewardship in the Hayward area.
In the event of bad weather, we will postpone to ensure a great experience.
