OSHA mandates that employers safeguard employees and maintenance crews from falls, even from heights as low as 4 feet, due to the high risk of injury. It’s essential to protect workers from fall hazards when they’re on rooftops or near unprotected edges above 4 feet, including truck beds. A lifeline system, along with a body harness and lanyard, can provide the necessary safety for your team and contractors.

OSHA requires that fall protection be provided at elevations of :

4 feet : General industry
5 feet: Shipyards
6 feet: Construction industry
8 feet: Longshore operations
