Growing Moody

HEY! It’s me, Courtney, the human behind Growing Moody 🥰 I first created Growing Moody in 2018 as a college art business final project (shoutout fellow BFA dropouts). I’ve always been a creative thinker, 9/10 times if I see something I want my immediate thought is “I can make that.” Finding time to be creative as an adult is insanely difficult, plus committing to starting your own brand, financially investing in yourself, and connecting with your community. In January of this year I was let go from my job, like most that have experienced the same situation you know that hits you like a truck. So here I am, 28, no job, minimal funds, but a hell of a lot of time to sit around and just create. So I did.

I became a serial hobbyist. If Amazon sold it, I now have it. I was teaching myself new mediums every day (when I wasn’t interviewing like crazy bc unfortunately rent still needed to be paid). Thankfully I found a new job and it’s going great, but the best part is unlike my last career, I am no longer taking work home with me. When I’m off the clock I’m TRULY off the clock. I can now spend my 5-9’s creating art, planning my next market, and expanding my brand. For the first time in awhile I finally am enjoying life again.

So thank you to everyone that is embracing Growing Moody and in return me as well. Getting to connect with the community has always been a dream of mine and damnit, 2025 didn’t start great, but I’m going to make sure it has a better end. Thank you, thank you, thank you❤️
