Designated in 1987, the Lower Fox River and Green Bay Area of Concern addresses historic pollution through coordinated restoration efforts led by the Wisconsin DNR, with strong community involvement and a focus on environmental Justice.

As a part of the Community Waters Coalition, the Citizen Advisory Committee for the Green Bay and Fox River Area of Concern, we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for the Community Waters Coalition Conservation Projects Tour & Community Input and Education Event—a special opportunity to connect, learn, and help shape the future of the Greater Green Bay Fox/Wolf Watershed.
Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with Optional Conservation Tours from 3:00-5:00 PM
Location: Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary – Dick Resch Family Learning & Conservation Center

This event is designed to bring together community members, First Nations partners, conservation organizations, educators, policymakers, and anyone who cares about the health of our watershed. We’ll explore current conservation projects, hear lightning talks, and open up space for listening and conversation about community priorities through round table discussions.
