I love helping people celebrate life's special moments and, in some small way, easing the stress that comes from hosting events. It's work I truly enjoy, even when it means very long days, especially in this heat.

After finishing a setup today and making one last stop at my regular job to fix something on my way home, I pulled over by the river for just five minutes to watch the sunset.

Those few quiet moments were enough to remind me how grateful I am—for my business, for the incredible people in my life, and for the opportunity to do what I love.

A little self-care goes a long way. Sometimes all it takes is five minutes to pause, breathe in the moment, and appreciate how far you've come!

A lot of people see Event Rentals By Kris today, but they don't always realize where I learned so much of what I know.

I definitely got my love of making lists from my dad. And having a Plan A, Plan B... and sometimes even a Plan C. Heck, even a Plan X, Y, and Z. He taught me that things don't always go as planned, but you figure it out and get the job done anyway.

Looking back, so much of how I run this business comes from watching him. Work hard. Be prepared. Don't quit when something goes wrong.

Over the past couple of years, he's loaned me his trailer more times than I can count. And when I found my new trailer in Nashville, he drove there and back with me in just two days so I could bring it home. That's just the kind of dad he is.

Thanks for setting that example all those years. I probably don't say it enough, but I appreciate everything you've taught me and everything you've done for me.
