I’ve been a little quiet on here, but I’m officially back and feeling more motivated than ever. 🎶

Right now I’ve got 5 songs on the back burner, and I’m really putting my soul into all of them. I’m heading into the studio this Saturday to start recording. For the first time ever, I even wrote a love song, like…a for REAL love song.. 😮😂🥰 .. Which is kind of wild for me considering most of my music has always come from heartbreak, definitely had to rewire my brain a little bit to put this one together.

The other songs I’m writing right now are really close to my heart. One of them is called “ I just want my heart back ”, I started it about a year ago, and it’s about those first heartbreaks that shape you. Even when you reach a place in life where things feel stable and love feels easier, those early scars still have a way of living with you.

Another song I’m writing is called “Beautiful.” It’s probably the most vulnerable thing I’ve ever written. It comes from losing my babies and the quiet questions that never really go away, those questions that remain in the back of your mind even when you get to a point in your life where you find faith. Wondering where they are and hoping wherever they are… it’s beautiful. I’m trying to write it in a way that anyone who has lost someone can connect with, because grief leaves you sitting with those same questions about where the people we love end up. 

I’m also working on a song about this world we live in , how imperfect it is, how quick we all are to judge, and how easy it is to think we’re the misunderstood ones or the victims. The truth is, every single one of us gets pulled into the darkness of this world sometimes.

That’s what music has always been for me though, honest and transparent. I got to a point where I was a little bit tired of writing for everybody else and I’m writing for myself now. 

I’m also getting super excited to start playing some local bar shows again and building up my setlist with all this new music. More than anything, I love to perform and do some covers too. I like showing appreciation for music as a whole.
