Seven years ago today, I made a decision that changed our lives. I was a heavy meat eater, but once I decided to become vegetarian, I went cold turkey (no pun intended) and never looked back.

I made the same decision for Zyon because he was struggling with severe digestive issues. Changing our diet brought almost immediate improvements. One month later, my husband joined us on this health journey.

Seven years with no meat or seafood, and this journey has been transformative. It hasn't cured my diabetes or heart disease, but it has given my body a better opportunity to heal and respond to the choices I make each day.

I've learned that healing is about more than what's on our plate. It's about what we allow into our bodies, our minds, and our spirits—the things we consume, watch, speak, and surround ourselves with. Healing requires the courage to pivot when something is no longer serving us.
