North Carolina may be the land of rivalries.

Three powerhouse college programs packed into one corner of the state. Families split down the middle. Friends arguing over shades of blue. Half the state convinced the other half is wrong.

But every now and then, something comes along that pulls us all onto the same side.

And that's what has been so cool about this Carolina Hurricanes run.

From the art museum to local music venues. From coffee shops to burger joints. From small-town storefronts to big city businesses. Everywhere you look, people are finding their own way to say the same thing:

For a few weeks, the usual divisions don't seem to matter much. We're all wearing red. We're all checking scores. We're all yelling at televisions. We're all believing.

It's a reminder that sometimes the things that bring us together matter a whole lot more than the things that pull us apart.

Twenty years after the last trip to the Stanley Cup Final, an entire state is rallying behind one team, one dream, and one more chance to bring the Cup back to Carolina.
