I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Marie Marx as the VFW teacher of the year contest. Ms. Marx won the District 2 competition and went on to advance to the State and lo and behold she won that and is now in the running to win the national finals.
Ms Marx has done an outstanding job with the blue star group. Hope you win. It is the first entrant to advance to the nationals from Post 2867, Garfield. We are very proud of her.
