We sometimes use these terms interchangeably, yet there are distinctions between these three concepts, as well as relationships between these three concepts that we should understand as we grow our fluency in the vocabulary of digital humanities, collaborate with other digital humanists, and make decisions about platforms and digital projects.

Digital storytelling platform and data visualization tool Google Earth Web just rolled out a major redesign of the content editor interface. Some handy features like the ability to easily pull in rich media linked data such as Wikipedia articles, search for and pull in YouTube videos or images stored in your own Google Drive have gone away. But the new interface does provide a more streamlined content editing workflow now.
