The Blue-Collar Project

𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲-𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 attended the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗖𝗕𝗜𝗔), where members received legislative updates from 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀 (𝗙𝗖𝗕𝗜𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁), 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻 (𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦® (𝗙𝗖𝗔𝗥) on issues impacting the building industry, housing, workforce development, transportation, and economic growth in Frederick County and across Maryland.

Speakers discussed several bills and policy initiatives from the recent legislative session, including efforts to address housing affordability, redevelopment of underutilized commercial properties, transit-oriented development, infrastructure financing, small business opportunities, and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry.

The meeting also celebrated the 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗖𝗕𝗜𝗔'𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗣𝗪𝗕), recognizing its contributions to supporting and advancing women in the construction and building industries while encouraging continued leadership development and industry engagement.
