An Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is a physical therapist who has earned board certification in orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). This certification reflects deep expertise in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal conditions, guiding post-surgical rehabilitation, and applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

Earning the OCS credential requires extensive clinical experience and months of preparation to pass a rigorous exam. Fewer than 5 percent of licensed physical therapists in the United States hold this distinction.
