My husband and I recorded a podcast! Dr. Stroud delivered our daughter via emergency c-section 2.5 years ago. He invited us to share our story on his podcast, All Things Women’s Health. At some point it should be available on all podcast platforms, but for now, it’s up on their YouTube channel. I’ll share a direct link in my bio. It was an honor to share my story (as it always is). I pray others will be able to find hope in it and feel less alone in their own experience.

I’ve had the opportunity to paint a couple of journals recently! This one I gifted, and boy was it a labor of love. I designed it in my iPad, printed it off and taped it to the cover. Then I traced the outline of each letter so it made an indent in the soft cover. After that it was finally time to paint. I painted around each letter so the cover would show through. I spent several hours on this project, but it was fun and relaxing (most of the time 😅). The things we do for the ones we love!

For my best friends’s christmas gift, I go her a gift certificate for us to do a private painting class. We’ve been talking about painting together for months, so I figured this would get our good intentions into gear! In all transparency, this is not how my painting looked when we left our session. I didn’t have a vision for how I wanted it to look before I started painting. And as a result, I wasn’t happy with it. So I went home and painted over it 🙃 I’m much happier with it now! God has been speaking to me a lot about hope in the last few months. He’s stirring up hope in many places in my life where it’s been deferred. With renewed hope comes faith, joy, and anticipation. If you’re struggling with deferred hope, I would highly recommend the book The Power of Hope by Dutch Sheets.

I realized after I shared that my Etsy shop was back open that I hadn’t fully explained it to everyone. I posted a poll on my stories but that was it. So here’s the deal. Thoughtfully Red is back but has changed. Most of my products will be digital (at least for the time being). As I create new things I’ll list them in my shop. However, it won’t all be loss mom related products anymore. And so because of that I won’t be donating all proceeds to loss moms. I’m opening the shop back up not a ministry but to see if this can be a means to help support my family. I feel a responsibility to be completely transparent about this because it is changing. My prayer is that my art would minister to people in a new way ❤️
