HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HELPING TURNSTONE?
I have been helping since fall 2017
HOW DID YOU GET CONNECTED WITH TURNSTONE?
Longtime wheelchair rugby athlete, James Ezell came out to one of our rugby matches and invited us to come check it out. One of my teammates said it was amazing so I started coming out and haven't looked back.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO GET INVOLVED WITH TURNSTONE?
It was fun and I could help. I have always been one to give my time back to things I enjoy and Turnstone has provided me the opportunity to do that.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TURNSTONE MEMORY?
Getting the Fort Wayne Rugby Football Club, both men and women involved. Between having the men's team get in chairs and play against the Flyers or having all the extra hands from the women's team during practices.
WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT BEING INVOLVED WITH TURNSTONE?
The people. Players, volunteers, and staff; the community at Turnstone is a great one.
WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT BEING INVOLVED WITH TURNSTONE?
Do it! It does not matter what your skill set is, there is a group or someone that will benefit from your help and joy. You will also benefit from it. I have personally grown so much during my time volunteering with Turnstone. I hope you take the time and consider how much love and joy you can spread at Turnstone.
