Promises made, promises kept.

Two years ago, I told you what I’d fight for and I’ve done just that.

Strong support for our teachers and Fort Mill schools.
Real progress on roads and infrastructure.
Standing strong with law enforcement and backing the blue.
Cutting taxes so you can keep more of your hard-earned money.

But here’s the reality … too many people still don’t even know there’s a primary coming up.

Early voting: May 26 – June 5
Primary Election Day: June 9

The future of Fort Mill and District 26 depends on people showing up.

I’ve been out talking to hundreds of voters over the past few weeks, and I’m asking for your support to keep this momentum going.

Mark your calendars and share with your friends in 29715.

It was great to be back in York County after a long and productive week in Columbia.

Spent the day meeting with a Town Council member, business leaders, and small business owners talking about growth and future opportunities for our area. I also attended the second phase grand opening of Miracle Park, which continues to be an incredible addition for our community.

Wrapped up the night at the Strawberry Pageant supporting friends and their kids.

This is what matters, and it’s why I’m proud to serve. Seeing people show up for our community, our kids, our future, and those who need support reminds you what Fort Mill is all about. Whether I’m in politics or not, I always have and always will show up to support our community.

FLINT HILL ELEMENTARY RESOLUTION

Today I worked with the Dept. Of Education to draft a joint resolution to waive the two missed school days at Flint Hill Elementary after the chemical leak at Silfab that forced the school to close earlier this year.

This resolution would ensure that the school board is not required to make students attend makeup days on upcoming Saturdays. These closures were the result of an incident that occurred beyond the control of our students and families, and they should not be the ones burdened by it.

I appreciate that every member of our local House delegation has signed on in support. We expect a first reading tomorrow, with the goal of moving it to the Senate early next week and getting it to the Governor’s desk as quickly as possible.

I’ll continue to keep everyone updated as it moves forward. I am trying to get this done before the makeup days begin the following Saturday.

This morning, the Governor is signing H.4216. This is a $308 million tax cut across every income level, putting real money back in the pockets of hardworking South Carolinians.

Anyone saying otherwise is simply trying to get clicks on social media and has 0 realistic solutions. This is real relief, and it’s a strong step in the right direction. Proud to support Fort Mill.

UPDATE: Governor Formally Requests Charter School Investigation

I appreciate Governor Henry McMaster taking swift action and formally requesting the Inspector General to investigate the concerns surrounding Ascent Classical Academy and its governance.

This is exactly how government should work. When serious questions are raised about the use of public funds, there must be transparency, accountability, and a willingness to follow the facts wherever they lead. Taxpayer dollars belong to the people of South Carolina, and they should be handled with integrity whether they are supporting education, infrastructure, or any other public program.

The Governor’s letter makes it clear that this investigation will look into potential financial irregularities, mismanagement, misconduct, and any violations of state or federal law. Just as importantly, it directs that if wrongdoing is found, it be referred to the appropriate authorities for further action. That level of seriousness is exactly what this situation demands.

I also want to thank Chairlady Shannon Erickson for working alongside me over the last several days to ensure accountability and to help move this process forward. This has been a team effort focused on doing what is right for students, families, and taxpayers.

Our responsibility is simple. Protect students. Support families. And ensure that every dollar of public funding is being used appropriately and lawfully.

I look forward to the Inspector General’s findings and will continue to keep our community updated as more information becomes available.

The Attacks Are Back. Here’s the Truth.

Over the last few weeks, the same tired playbook has resurfaced. Attack ads, recycled talking points, and now something called a “Freedom Index score.”

Let’s Call This What It Is.
This isn’t about real leadership. It’s not about results. And it’s definitely not about what matters to the people of District 26.

It’s a scoring system created by an out-of-state group with its own agenda, designed to pressure elected officials to fall in line instead of standing up for their communities.

Here’s Where I Stand.
If we’re going to have a conversation, let’s make it a real one.
Let’s talk about actual votes.
Let’s talk about real policy.
Let’s talk about results we’ve delivered right here in Fort Mill.

Safer roads. Stronger schools. Support for small businesses. Standing up for our community when it matters most.

I Don’t Work for Outside Groups.
I work for you. The people of District 26.

And I’ll put my record up against anyone, any day of the week.

If you’re tired of the political games and ready to focus on real results, I’d appreciate your support.

Like, share, and help us keep the focus where it belongs… on delivering for Fort Mill.

Even though it was furlough week in Columbia, it has been a productive week back home in Fort Mill.

A big focus for me during my first term has been public safety. On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to testify in the Senate on my bill, the Roadway Protection and Safety Act (H.4292), which addresses street takeovers and dangerous activity on our roads. The bill passed favorably out of subcommittee and I’m hoping it will be heard in the full Senate Judiciary committee in the next week.

I also spent a lot of time over the last couple of days working with Chairlady Shannon Erickson, state agencies, and the Inspector General’s office regarding serious concerns at Ascent Classical Academy of Fort Mill. Based on what has been reported, we have formally requested an investigation. With taxpayer dollars involved, it is important that we get clear answers and ensure accountability.

In addition, I met with several small business owners here in Fort Mill. We talked about issues like AI, taxes, and the day to day challenges they are facing. These conversations are important and help guide the work we are doing at the State House.

I appreciate the support and the conversations this week. There is more work ahead and I will continue to keep you updated.

If I can ever help or answer any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Joint Request for Inspector General Investigation re: Ascent Classical Academy of Fort Mill

Over the last two days, Chairlady Shannon Erickson and I have been working together, as well as with multiple agencies and the Inspector General, to address the serious concerns surrounding Ascent Classical Academy in Fort Mill.

Attached is our joint statement, along with our formal request for the Inspector General to investigate Ascent Classical Academy and any associated entities for potential financial mismanagement, misuse of public funds, and failures in oversight.

Parents, students, and taxpayers deserve full transparency and accountability, and we will continue pushing for answers and keeping you updated as more information comes to light.

Proud to speak in support of the passage of this bill through my Judiciary subcommittee last week. We must protect our food security and farmland throughout our State.

State lawmakers are advancing a bill they say is needed to protect national security by preventing five countries from buying farmland in SC, particularly near military installations. Fort Mill has always been the kind of place where we show up for one another when it matters most.

Right now, a local family in our community is facing a serious cancer diagnosis, and they need our support. This is one of those moments where we can come together and make a real difference.

If you’re able, please consider helping this family during such a difficult time. Whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this post, it all matters.

Let’s continue to be the Fort Mill we all know and love.

Hello, friends! This is your First Vice chair Caitlin Boyle. I am reaching out to you on a personal level. Our friend Rob Graham, husband of dedicated YCGOP member Danielle Graham, was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer.

Rob has just been diagnosed with one of the most aggressive forms of prostate cancer, Gleason 10 (5+5). This is the highest possible grade, and it requires immediate, intensive treatment.

Danielle's heart is breaking. She has given us so much (one of her claims to fame is knocking on more NC doors for Trump than almost anyone else in 2024); can you help ease their burden?
