The snows awake so I’m awake and we have to play!

It fills me with joy to make handmade gifts for my friends … this lovely baby blanket & treasured picture book is for my friend who has a deep love of the natural world. Our text chain is basically photos of birds & critters we see living in the Rocky Mountains. Even her pregnancy announcement to the group text was just a picture of a fox, her sonogram and a raptor. I made this blanket to be enjoyed during tummy time but also sturdy enough for the future. To be taken climbing up a tree when camping and tossed in the dirt for a soft place to sit when fishing by the river. I’m so excited for my friend on this new chapter in her life!
