🎊 Happy Birthday to Charles S. Mott! 🎊

Born on June 2, 1875 in Newark, New Jersey, Mott would go on to become an industrialist, philanthropist, and eventual co-owner of General Motors. He served on the board of directors for GM for 60 years from 1913 until 1973 when he passed. Mott's legacy continues to have a significant impact in the Flint community to this day, as we approach the landmark Centennial which celebrates 100 years of his namesake foundation, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, launched in 1926.

Reasons to smile:

1. We are now deep into peony season!

2. Some of the most dreamy varieties are currently blooming here on the flower farm. Pale pinks, deep pinks: fragrant, billowy, totally abundant.

3. We'll be at the this Saturday (June 6) with peony bouquets!

4. We were sold out of peonies by noon last Saturday, so be sure to get there early! Market opens at 9 a.m.

5. Also blooming: our knautia macedonica and sicilian honey lilies are knocking our socks off too and will be featured in mixed bouquets this weekend. You won't want to miss these unique beauties!

What's your reason to smile today?
