New Jersey but raised as a Florida boy. After years of former metal projects, a vocal condition left him with a new voice, thus Modern Natives was born from his need to make music that defies expectations because he knows what it’s like when the voices around you don't seem to understand your perspective. Born in Atlanta, GA and raised in downstate NY, Savannah received her BS in marine vertebrate biology from Stony Brook University, she relocated to Miami, FL to pursue her PhD in Biological Sciences focusing on fisheries ecology. Savannah met Dez late August 2019 at a karaoke night hosted by a dive bar on Hollywood BLVD and they’ve been working together ever since. Growing up the midwest town of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Nick had an early interest in music. He hit the road right out of high school, traveling the world performing and teaching with The Young Americans music outreach organization.
