Mo. hunters can donate deer hides to make gloves for disabled veterans It's Veterans Day, and many might not know it, but Missouri deer hunters have been lending a hand — well, gloves — to disabled veterans across the country for years.

Today is the 72nd anniversary of Operation Overlord, the greatest military invasion in history. It's called by a name which shall live on forever, D-Day, 6 June 1944. With each passing day we lose our WW II veterans, but we must never forget their service and sacrifice that day as they stood against the very face of evil, tyranny. I had the pleasure of serving in combat wearing the same patch of two Army infantry divisions who have that incredible day as part of their history, the 1st and 4th US Infantry Divisions. God bless those men, God bless those who continue to today to stand and fight, carrying forth the legacy of those who had a "rendezvous with destiny"
