I hate that my first post for 2026, is about the passing of 3 Doors Down founding member, & vocalist Brad Arnold. This band will always be special to me, as they were the first headlining artist I ever photographed professionally, on August 6th, 2005 ( ). I have followed Brad on social media for a long time, and admired his family life, faith, & humor. While I did not ever get to meet or know him, I do know he was one of the good guys in this business. I was lucky to see 3DD many times over the years, including their last stop in StL, in 2024, opening for Creed. RIP **KCancer

Recent work with musician, songwriter, Max_Michael_Music (IG) Loved working with Max. He had the idea of a shoot along the Great River Road, between Alton, & Grafton, IL. With a twist, he wanted no instruments, just to feature his newly acquired 2002 Victory Deluxe Touring Cruiser.. more of a lifestyle vibe, hell yeah! We timed this at sunset, limited light, with a brief opportunity for the golden skyline. With his fiancé Emily at the wheel, I rode in the passenger seat, hanging out the window (I'm sorta exaggerating), camera in one hand, an off-camera flash in the other, we did two runs up & down the road, capturing both the land side, & the river side. With a quick stop at Piasa Bird, we finished in the nick of time. Big Muddy Blues Festival, Aug. 31st, 2014 - "ATTACK of the STRATS"! A reminder of the vibrant electric Blues scene that we have here in StL, Wrath of Khan, Steve Pecaro Band, & Tony Campanella, St. Louis, MO. I created a collection on my website titled 'Festival Highlights' for a potential client. Although I wasn't technically 'working' on this day, I added some shots from it to the collection because it shows a ton of raw emotion. This was a good day on Lacledes Landing. All three of these super talents, playing back to back to back on the same sunny afternoon. During this period, I think we were going there 5-6 years in a row, always around Labor Day weekend, always the best of times. Those Stratocasters resonating & bouncing off the brick buildings & cobblestone streets, nothing like it, amazing. 🙌
