The Four Universal Safety Rules of Shooting

1:Treat all guns as though they are always loaded,
Always perform a clearance check every time you pick one up!

Most fi****ms “accidents” occur with a firearm that the user swore was unloaded.
EVERY time you pick up a firearm, perform the proper clearance procedure. Educate those in your household to do the same.
Treat a firearm that you’ve just unloaded with the exact same respect as one that you’ve just loaded.

2: Never point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy! Always ensure your firearm is pointed in a direction that can serve as a backstop if the firearm were to discharge.

3:Keep your finger OFF the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are on target and have made the decision to shoot!
Your trigger finger should be straight and placed firmly on the frame of the firearm.

4:Always be sure of your target and beyond!
You must POSITIVELY identify your target before you shoot.
