About the album:
“When the Landscape Is Quiet Again,” recorded in 2012, is finally available on vinyl. The album’s title and themes reflect a deep concern for the changing environment and the impact of industrial development—particularly inspired by the oil boom in North Dakota during the writing process. Drawing from the speech by North Dakota governor Art Link, the title contemplates the aftermath of human progress and the hope that the land, and perhaps ourselves, can find peace after periods of upheaval. The music channels the tension between loss and renewal, persistence and reflection, and is meant to evoke both the stark beauty and the challenges of the band’s home region.
