How lucky I am to get to spend a day with my Art fam slinging prints, making money, & just hanging out. Honestly, so blessed. I swear, this event gets better every year. New faces mixed with familiar ones from last year, parted ways with my Tyler canvas print 🥲, tabled alongside my Mommas, by my side, seeing another vision come to life, 🔥 food.. Just an incredible day.

Shoutout to every vendor, creative, producer, & musician that was a part of this. I look forward to this event every year & Im STOKED for year 5 with a Comic Con vibe 🙌🏾

Had the opportunity to show my work at a Cross Company Black in Tech Experience ( ) curated by a few night ago! Such a beautiful merge of the arts & tech worlds 🌎 Also got to have Matt as my handsome assistant 🤓

IT’S HAPPENING! We are 3 days into the STC mural & my goodness - the panels are beautiful & the kids are having a blast! The 1st day, I asked some of the students what their favorite part was & they said “just relaxing to paint” & I got goosebumps. It took me yearsss to make the connection of relaxing to paint & it made me incredibly to see some of these kids just get it 🎨.

The process hasn’t been perfect (I may have spelled one of the houses wrong 3 times BUT I FIXED IT) but we’ve pivoted, flexed & leaned into the process. The students AND staff are so stoked to be a part of this project & Im still honored to have been the driving force 🫶🏾

Another Elementary School Mural in the works! 🎨

Something sparked during the mural last year at W.E.S that really made me want to bring this project to my kids school. It started as an idea I pitched to the PTA at the end of last year & now we are actually bringing it to life! (Sidenote: I’ve been pitching ideas to a range of people for years, but I have NEVER been as nervous as I was pitching to fellow PTA Moms. My body would not stop shaking & I think it was because this project is so close to my heart + asking for funding from friends is S T R E S S F U L 😮‍💨) Grateful to have landed it though!

Creating visuals of concepts is hard enough as an adult, so getting quick ideas from Kinders through 5th graders was impressive. Proud of myself & the students! 🤗🫨 I’ve also gotta say it was SO cool having my own kids participate. I know them seeing me present my art in their school will be a core memory for all of us & I look forward to hitting he ground running after Break! 🎨

Also must have mentioned snails because there were a handful of them drawn for “courage” so naturally, there will be snails 🖤🐌
