When she was a junior in high school, Tami had the opportunity for a part time job at a real estate office, as a personal assistant. She learned a lot about the business from the "toughest boss I've ever had". Ramona was demanding, and had a personal ethic and drive Tami had never seen before, and she encouraged Tami to obtain her real estate license. On her 18th birthday, Tami drove to Olympia an
d picked it up in person. Although she chose to go back to school and pursue other interests in her 20's, she says she "eventually made my way back to my first love". In the years since, Tami has experienced many sides of this business. When her kids were young, she spent time away from sales and instead honed her skills as a certified appraiser, eventually owning a business with her husband that did both appraisals and home inspections. When she got back into real estate full time in 2010, she had to learn the complex maze of short sales and foreclosure properties in a depressed market. Over the years she has developed her skills as a negotiator, and strives to stay on top of the ever changing marketing trends. With RE/MAX, she is able to combine her experience with the exposure and expertise of the world's most recognized real estate company. Tami says she "has come to see home ownership as the driving force of our economy." She is also proud to be a Homes for Heroes agent, and regularly gives a portion of her commission back to those that have done so much for our country. On a personal note, Tami has been married to her husband, Jeff, since 1991. Together, they have raised three great kids, and have purchased both resale and new construction homes. They have also built home additions, dealt with the county on development issues, as well as complete "studs out" remodels, and have personally experienced many typical homeowner woes. They currently live in the Lake Stevens/Marysville area, and Tami is working on building a team that will one day include Jeff again. #TheUnitedGroup
