We started out as a Pit Bull rescue in 1999. A few years later we saw the great need to take many other dogs out of high kill areas and bring them to Oregon where there is not a severe pet overpopulation and people are looking to rescue! Luvable pulls dogs from extremely overpopulated areas where they have very little time and resources to avoid euthanasia. We are located on 55 acres of beautiful forest with hiking trails. Most of our dogs live in cottages in communal living with access to their own yards. We provide all veterinary care, spay/neuter, microchip and do a week long sleepover trial with our dogs to make sure each home is the right fit before a family commits to adopting them. Over the years we have also taken in pigs and chickens and have many sanctuaried dogs who are not adoptable for medical or behavioral reasons. In 2021, we started a small rescue cat program, partnering with local rescuers Jaggers Journey and Orphan Paws Project to foster kittens during kitten season. We now have our own rescue cats as well. If you would like to learn more about us, visit our website www.Luvabledogrescue.org! Also, follow us on Instagram! If you would like to make a donation, we have our Paypal and other information on our website as well :)
Please note: Luvable Dog Rescue (formerly known as Luv-A-Bull and Luv-A-Little Dog Rescue and Sanctuary) does not take owner surrendered dogs or drop offs unless they were adopted through our rescue. Please contact your local shelters/humane societies about their owner surrender policies. If you are from the Eugene area please contact 1st Avenue Shelter-Greenhill Humane Society at 541-844-1777.

❣️SHY IS IN FOSTER❣️
💞She hit it off right away with her new pals Erica Makai ❣️They really love her and are such fantastic foster hosts.
💖We are so grateful for all the interest in Shy. As we’ve learned more about her delicate health situation, we’ve decided to keep her close to home for now until she sees our specialist. We’ve contacted everyone who’s sent in an application with that update.
❤️🩹More to come on Shy’s progress and healing journey❣️
