Athelas—diagnose malaria using your iPhone. Tanay Tandon has developed an iOS application named Athelas that, using an iPhone and a cheap camera lens attachment, can detect a malaria infection whilst in the field.

Tune in to Erie, PA local news station WJET-TV today at 6PM for coverage on the Erie Day School National Junior Honor Society's generous contribution to the Hope Movement. Students raised $500.00, purchasing 83 nets which will save an estimated 332 lives!
