Embodying Hope
Did you know, one of the hardest things about having an invisible disability…is that it doesn’t look like anything’s wrong.
People see me out here walking my dog or smiling and assume I’m fine.
But what they don’t see are the flare-ups, the fatigue, or the mental gymnastics it takes just to get through the day.
So if you’re out here doing life with an invisible illness — I see you.
You’re not faking being sick. You’re fighting to live fully. 💛
It’s Invisible Disabilities Week — let’s make the unseen visible.

I'm still reeling from the International Weight Stigma Conference 2025 on the Gold Coast - two incredible days that have left me bursting with ideas. Presenting for the first time in Australia, just five months after returning home, made it extra special - I won't lie, tears were shed!
The conference was a poignant reminder of the importance of self-care, especially when faced with perfectionism and the pressures of chronic illness, disability, financial insecurity, and more. It was a powerful exercise in vulnerability and acknowledging the forces that can hold us back.
I'll share more about my presentation and the conference soon, but for now, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in making this event happen. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed.
