The name “Johnny Rock Band” first materialized in 2016 when Tate Sanderson had just released his new Rockumentary/Biography book “Johnny Rock Tales From The Road” “A Life of Rock & Roll”, it was selling well out of the trunk of his car and a few local book stores. So his current group adopted the name (and it looked cool having a book about the band). The book is still stocked @ Amazon.com and there are copies available to have signed at “LIVE” JRB performances. Front man Tate Sanderson (Johnny) has performed, recorded and jammed with musicians from/and with bands including; Green Jello, Dirty Looks, Fishbone, Black Flag, Tesla, Iron Butterfly, Gary Hoey, The Motels, Black Crowes, Beebs Money, Saints We Ain’t, Sticky Situation, The Pumps… and more, including a video on MTV "One Bad Leg" with Dirty Looks thanks to Sony/Rockworld Records. Playing all over Hollywood and touring the US, Mexico and in Japan, Tate acquired endorsement deals with Dean Guitars, Carvin, Sabine, Nady, Jim Dunlop plus more and recently adding local sponsors including Encinitas Surfboards, AleSmith Brewing, Anvil of Hope…
The Johnny Rock Band is currently recording songs for a new release, and you can find their previous albums "Holiday Rockin' W/Johnny Rock" and "Beach Party Rock" plus a few singles including "Hotdog On A Stick Song", "I Like Tacos" and "Back In Encinitas" on-line wherever you buy or listen to your music (I-tunes, Spotify, Etc.). Their song recordings and videos are all written, produced and edited in Tate’s studio in Encinitas, CA. They have high quality, full motion picture videos, Lyric videos, and Live videos for most of their songs with over 80 videos published on YouTube, as well as a strong presence on FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, ReverbNation, Vimeo, Daily Motion and more. At every show for JRB swag and merchandising along with the book and music, they have a variety of stickers, two T-shirts designs currently available, picks, post-cards w/QR codes, posters, banners…
