Overhead heat in from incandescent light IS the best way to provide heat to ectothermic animals. Very excited to make that case on Spiders After Sunset with Marshall Arachnids.

Tomorrow at 5pm CST we’re going to address the latest “hot take” on tarantula husbandry. We will have special guests Brandon of Arachnid Rarities and KC of Sol Reptile join in and shed some light on various aspects of this topic.

This will be the last time we cover this. We are definitely ready to move forward and focus on caring for / breeding our spiders. This will be a livestream, and we encourage anyone who wants to comment or share their experiences to join 🤓

Tons of messages about the VisionLED drop.
The excitement around this launch is huge, and that support means a lot to us.
An important update on timing: the release will be slightly later than originally expected. The factory team we’re partnered with is extremely precise, but there are some elements of the process that sit outside of our direct control.
A few critical components from China that make up “the brain” of VisionLED are currently back-ordered. These parts control the UVA diodes and allow us to create a spectrum that is as close to sunlight as possible. We do not use basic off-the-shelf drivers like most LED products; VisionLED uses six independent channels to precisely dial in the spectrum.
These components are scheduled to arrive in late February, which puts the drop in early March. A large portion of the fixture bodies is already here, and the remaining units are due to arrive over the weekend, so production is ready to move as soon as those final parts land.
Thank you to everyone for the ongoing support and enthusiasm. This has been a long road, but VisionLED is very close, and the goal is to deliver a product that justifies the wait.
