I received one piece of advice from a mentor that fundamentally changed how I show up on any stage—and it’s probably the opposite of what you’ve heard on social media.
The Secret: You will always be exposed by your level and intent to CONNECT and help people receive the message.
When I was focused on the slides and the “perfect words,” that’s when the filler words, the ‘ums,’ and the rambling came out. I couldn’t get out of my own way.
The fix? I learned to PAUSE.
