Honored to be one of the keynote speakers at last week’s Reach Out and Read Minnesota benefit breakfast.
The theme of the morning was how we heal, and I had the privilege of speaking alongside my good friend and hero Sheyanga Beecher, who founded and leads the Pediatric Mobile Clinic at Hennepin Healthcare.
We also celebrated Dave Pinto and Dr. Seth Gregory for their extraordinary advocacy and leadership on behalf of children and families.
Books, and the loving adults who read them with kids, build better brains, strengthen bonds, and help heal communities. 💛📚

Happy Mother's Day to the incredible moms in my life and yours!
Today the Minnesota Senate passed comprehensive gun safety legislation. The kids know: these protections save lives. I’m so grateful to the Senators and who have fought tirelessly to make our schools, communities, and houses of worship safer. Now, the Representatives in the Minnesota House have the opportunity to pass it as well.
Gun safety is something I will fight for — because the people of SD49 know these laws protect our communities.

We had the joy of celebrating Ragamala Dance Company this evening ✨
The Ramaswamy family has built a truly world-class Bharatanatyam company—woman-owned, woman-led, and one of the finest artistic gems in the Twin Cities.
I was especially moved to see Bharatanatyam featured in the Eden Prairie Local News the other day. Incredible to see this beautiful art form receive the recognition it so deeply deserves.
Grateful for the artistry, the cultural roots, and the community these artists and young people continue to build.

Senator Cwodzinski is a local legend who has led our community by standing up for Minnesota values while always leading with listening and kindness. I am humbled to receive his support.
In the hospital or in the military, no one cares about your politics: they care that you solve the problem, heal the child, and complete the mission. Our mission is to ensure Minnesota has great health care, great schools, and a clean environment—while making government transparent, efficient, and accountable to its citizens.

I am proud to have the MN DFL Environment Caucus endorsement! As we enjoy our planet a little more today, on Earth Day, it's important we work to ensure the next generation has access to clean air, clean water, and thriving wildlife.
As your next state senator, I will be a champion for environmental protections.
I am honored by this endorsement, and I am excited for the partnership ahead!
Bryant Lake Park is one of my favorite places, and I'm so glad to spend part of my Earth Day here with Snootie the Tree (my kids named it! +). The environment is central to our identity as Minnesotans, as DFLers, and as folks in SD 49.
As your state senator, I will stand up and protect our environment.

Murthy on Krish bringing community together:
Exactly 1 week ago, I was endorsed at the SD 49 DFL Convention to represent our district in the MN Senate. Grateful to my fellow candidates, every Krish supporter, and all the SD 49 delegates who showed up at EPHS last Saturday morning.
Now more than ever we need to reach out to our neighbors — Democrats, Independents, and Moderate Republicans alike — to bring them into our big DFL tent and keep this district blue.
