We focus on improving an athlete’s overall athletic ability for their given sport, training them to be more efficient and faster in all aspects of their game. We train male and female athletes that compete in team and individual sports. Often get criticized for trying to reinvent the wheel. Just cause it’s an exercise you haven’t seen before doesn’t mean it’s a new wheel. It’s a wheel with greater tread. I always have a direct reason for why I’m doing a particular exercise. You share it with others and they can help develop it as well. I created this exercise (at least hadn’t seen it before) a few years back. Never thought of it for assessments until partnering with when their staff was looking for lateral power assessments and this is what we came up with utilizing the tendo. Knowing the velocity capabilities of your athletes is a game changer in programming for sports. Often times it is only done in the sagittal plane (straight up and down). Add VBT to different planes and see what happens!
Getting stronger and adding more mass does help to a degree. However, getting better a special exercises enhance performance much more. Not getting better. What do your specialty exercises look like?
Train the way you play only if you know what work on, problem is most trainers don’t care that much and just look to have more fun or make “harder”.

All ways great getting messages like this. One of our newer tennis athletes that does a combination of in person and remote training with us. What are the keys? Attention to details, focus, enthusiasm in the process from the athlete and coach are just a few.

A little overview of what we look at when developing our individual programs for our athletes. I truly believe most athletes and coaches don’t know what can be changed with training, and with the development of knowledge in this ever fast growing industry of performance training most athletes are being left behind. What to look, analyze, and develop goes much deeper that this short 4 min video. But, you be rest assured we are doing it!
Challenge me, I dare you? does it, and I love it. For the past 7 years this girl just shows up and works. Thankfully for me she had a lot of athletic potential to start with and all I had to do is a little craving to make the pieces fit for her goals. When you train to be athletic for your sport, others come easy. You don’t have to play multiple sports, multiple sports come to you when you know how to move. Hence, she develop into a D1 volleyball player and javelin thrower. Oh, and this little invite now to tryout out for USA Bobsledding in Lake Placid. 28.3 in vertical and 45 lb pull ups by 3, yeah she has a lot of the basic qualities checked off!
