It may not look like it but this was back in March when our friends at McKnights were mobilizing our excavator to new foundation.

Side Shot Saturday: The Swiss Army Knife of the Fleet!

Welcome back to the series! For this round of , we’re moving from the heavy hitters to the heavy lifters. Meet our Bobcat S630 skid steer.

If the excavator is the anchor, our Bobcat is the utility player. It’s fast, agile, and handles everything from final grading to moving material around a tight site. While the big iron moves the mountain, the S630 makes sure the details are dialed in and the job site stays clean.

Machine Specs
Model: Bobcat S630
Type: Radius Lift Path (perfect for mid-range tasks like dumping over walls or managing materials)
Key Role: Precision grading and site logistics (and anything else it's tasked with!)

There isn’t a project we take on where this machine doesn't play a part. It’s the ultimate "get it done" piece of equipment that keeps our workflow moving.

So much is owed to the team at Target Rental who always keeps our crew rolling in our S630!

Today we got to create some positive drainage and restore a driveway for this client!
To that we say, thank you!

Also, our team is pretty amazing, look at them go!

Clean lines. Dirty work.

Uneven ground. Poor drainage. Rocky site.
We see it all the time.

👉 This is the machine we use to fix it.

Our John Deere 225D LC is one of the go-to tools on jobs where we need to reshape land, move serious material, and still keep things precise around homes and tight access areas.

We’ve used this setup across residential builds, yard grading, and site prep here in Southwest Colorado. When it’s done right, you don’t get callbacks to fix it.

⚙️ Machine Specs:
Operating Weight: ~52,000 lbs
Horsepower: 159 HP
Max Dig Depth: ~22 ft
Bucket Capacity: ~1.2 yd³
Reduced tail swing for tighter jobsites

This isn’t just equipment. It’s how we solve real problems before they turn into expensive one's, or get things done effectively and efficiently.

👉 Got a project like this? Shoot us a message or drop a DIRT in the comments. Happy to take a look and point you in the right direction.

Shout out to John Deere for building a machine we can count on, and Ben and his crew at 4Rivers Equipment for keeping us rolling!
