hing, mentorship, and inspiration of Marilyn McCormick. For more than 39 years, McCormick was committed to educating young people throughout the inner city of Detroit, guiding them, and encouraging them to move towards their dreams and aspirations. She’s led countless young people to study at the most prestigious universities and art conservatories nationally. The alumni base includes a variety of successful accomplishments from alumnus on Broadway,to television, cinema to anchor men, lawyers, and doctors all moving towards making a difference in society. In 2013 Daniel Bellomy and Harron Atkins, both alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University, joined together with Marilyn McCormick, their former high school teacher. Inspired and driven to build a platform and a professional entertainment and arts community that produced work that they could be truly moved by, where they could create work that was raw authentic and real, they created BMA. operates as an entertainment and arts network. Our programs include theatre, web-series, movies, music, and a number of other social events. BMA is a platform for artists and professionals all over the nation to have a place where they can make a difference in the world. A place where they can always give back and be filled with purpose and inspiration in return. With our movement we create experiences not only for the audience but for all of those involved.
