Over more than fifteen years, Mathis dedicated himself to refining his writing process and musical style, becoming the artist he is today. Although he hasn't broken into the mainstream, he has made significant progress. Growing up in the projects on Detroit's East Side, Mathis' talent became noticeable to his peers. H
