This post is going to seem like “why isn’t this instead an email” and I have no answer to you. Maybe it’s a too long, don’t read but ya know how it happened is that I had a good cry and then attended one of those magical yoga classes..and then my friends the words just spilled out.

Really wanted to say thank you very much for everyone who came down last Saturday (the 16th) to celebrate what we later realized was 14 and not 13 years of cobra verde history! And all who have come at other times more convenient to them. Friendly reminder that that little time capsule marking the life span of cobra will be on display thru June 13th and you should check it out!

Special thx to the dedicated four friends who came to watch the magic of Jarrett extemporaneously speaking in-person. And to Mia for snapping this photo of me capturing the group.

If you weren’t there, the 26 minute talk was recorded and is on cobra’s Instagram. It’s super entertaining and illuminating on the ins and outs, very tell it like it is/no bu****it, aspect of being an entrepreneur. Feel free to comment on that post outing yourself as having watched the whole video—we love it.

I love that the talk was recorded because a Saturday at 1pm isn’t the most convenient time for everyone, and he did such a great job! In it, you discover that Cobra Verde would not have happened without Wake Up Iowa and you also might pick up on the reality that Wake Up Iowa and Cobra Verde need each other.

In other news, we also had the two year mark of moving here to dsm a little over a month ago and it has been somewhat of a celebratory reflective time period marking our struggles, growth, and abundance since then—hence this outburst post.

Genuinely grateful for the support and people in our lives, the seeds we have planted, the roots that have taken shape, the ones held up steady, and all the fruit we’ve harvested. The fruit is wild and beautiful and hey! last night we discovered a mulberry tree lives at the edge of our backyard..wild mulberry matcha fantasies came and went hahaha.

Here’s to continuing onward with going all in on making drinks our way, together forever.
