Jared T. Thornber, 39; passed unexpectedly at his family’s camp in Lorraine, NY; Saturday, May 9th, 2026. He was born in Syracuse, NY and has been a longtime resident of Denver, NC. Jared worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with his brother’s company Thornber Logging & Trucking, Lorraine, NY specializing in Construction, Logging and Land Development. He enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing. Jared was an avid NASCAR fan and local car racing enthusiast. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and tinkering with cars. Jared is survived by his parents: George and Cheryl (Fabrizio) Thornber of Fulton, NY; his 4 brothers: Matthew (Stacy) Ilacqua of Jordan, NY; Derek (Heather) Thornber of Copenhagen, NY; Brett (Stephanie) Thornber of Minetto, NY and Gavin Thornber of Fulton, NY; his several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held privately. There will be no Calling Hours. Burial will be held privately in Fairview Cemetery, Bundyville, Volney, NY. The Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY has care of the arrangements.
