My thoughts about selling on Etsy! Basically, it’s hard to get traction without reviews, so thats why I’m listing my Page Keepers on Etsy rather than promoting them on my website.

I see other parametric art businesses on Etsy thriving, and my products are absolutely up to par with my competitors. But who wants to buy from a business that has no reviews? Especially for large purchases…that is asking a lot of trust from buyers. So, I’ve added my smaller products to Etsy and I’m running some great deals in order to build a reputation for my business.

Two years of designing, prototyping and creating have resulted in a product unlike any other. I’m thankful to all of those who helped me get to this point, it’s been a real journey!

When the laser doesn’t cut through cleanly, a bandsaw can keep parts from getting tossed in the scrap bin! Sometimes wood has dense knots or warping which can prevent the laser from cutting through it completely. Trying to brute force the part out will likely result in breaking the piece or causing the wood to splinter, damaging your product.

Since these two pieces missed a clean cut by only the last ~0.5mm, I was able to use a bandsaw to section off the edges and then snap off the excess. Kind of like plucking petals from a flower. Except the flower is wood and it’s also entirely different. I don’t know how to explain it well but it works great!
