Happy Native American Heritage Month 🪶 🦬

We took our boys to the annual Bison Harvest, a tradition that continues to ground us in our culture, our community, and our gratitude.

This harvest is a two-day ceremony:

Day One:
We gather to honor the bison’s life through prayer, music, and storytelling. It’s a moment to give thanks, acknowledge its sacrifice, and teach our children the meaning of respect and reciprocity.

Day Two:
The community comes together to process the meat and share a meal made from the very bison we honored. It’s a reminder that nothing is wasted, everything has purpose, and that our traditions live on through togetherness.

We’re grateful to raise our boys in these teachings. Embracing who they are, where they come from, and the deep roots of our Native heritage 🧡
