As first shows go (especially the small ones) Saturday would be considered a success! At least by the patrons, fans and the venue owners. Though it wasn't the full house I'm used to I really enjoyed it! The stage was no where near done, there was no internet, I was missing half my library because of the internet issues, and not being able to get in 8 hours ahead of show time to set up the stage (especially doing it alone), it went well. Half the show is the stage and ambience, the other is the sound. The sound we got figured out, but the next show this Saturday, we'll have to entire room done. I miss the big venues, and looking out at literally thousands of people, but there is peace and security in the small time shows. Even if the venue owner has never heard of you! I think Brent Smith of +Shinedown Is my Rock counterpart for the time. Especially with Through The Ghost, he's writing and performing songs I couldn't get out.... It make one take stock of over 30 years in music, and puts right in your face exactly where you are right now.
